Description

Original 1st printing 25 x 19" event poster for a community-sponsored "Mid-Summer Celebration" show (*benefit for the Subud International Brotherhood), held in Woodacre, CA (Marin County) from 8/12-13/1972.

Event featured a variety of performances, exhibitions and amusements, including music by Country Joe McDonald and High Country, in addition to jugglers, belly dancers, fire eaters, horse events, a children's fair and MUCH more.

Art (uncredited) by Victor Moscoso, medium flat vellum stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners, along with a couple of decent-sized surface stains (top/right center margins, around the "Mid-Summer" lettering), a small tear in the upper left margin, a series of soft/thin vertical roll bends, a bit of handling wear, a few tiny pin-prick surface scuffs/indentations and scratches scattered around the image area, a small wedge tear in the upper right corner and assorted other little issues here and there... definitely a well-worn survivor, but it is the first/only one of these that I have EVER seen.

I don't know why Victor didn't sign this one, but it definitely ranks as one his most obscure posters.
