Description

Original 1st printing 28&1/4 x 20" printer's proof sheet featuring an uncut pair of concert posters for "Death and Transfiguration", a two-day "happening"/event presented by the Stockville Light Express and featuring local bands the Plastic Explosion and the Plague appearing at Webb's in Stockton, CA from 4/14-15/1967 (art by Victor Moscoso, image #13 in the Neon Rose series), along with an overlay of the 2nd (Berkeley Bonaparte) printings of Rick Griffin's "Oracle" and "Lucifer Rising (a Film by Kenneth Anger)" images (both from early 1967).

Art by Victor Moscoso/Rick Griffin, image is # 13(B) in the Neon Rose series.

Medium flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a series of small crescent-shaped pinch creases and a couple of hairline-thin stress bends scattered around the outer margin area, along with a few semi-soft handling dings and thin stress bends hiding within the image area and a tiny black pin-prick spot in the upper right margin, otherwise fine.

Very decent example of this semi-uncommon Neon Rose/Rick Griffin "hybrid" image, originally distributed by Berkeley Bonaparte in 1967.
