Original 1st printing (early/mid-'70's California Graphic Exchange) 14 x 20" concert poster for Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band appearing along with Portable People at Crawford Hall on the campus of the University of California in Irvine, CA on 11/28/1968 (*show was either canceled or it is an imagined/made-up date).

 Art by (and SIGNED in black pen by) Rick Griffin, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 372 (plate 4.125), this example has also been embossed in the lower right corner with Rick's personal "Heart & Torch" stamp

 Medium-thin flat vellum stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a thin soft 1&1/2" diagonal bend and a bit of minor creasing in the lower left corner/margin, a nearly-invisible handling ding or two hiding within the image area, a tiny bend in the upper right corner tip and a trace of edge residue (pin-prick glue spots from the inside edge of a matte) in the lower left/right margins, otherwise fine.
