Description

Original 1st printing 27&7/8 x 21&1/88" concert poster for a week-long series of shows held at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA from 6/30-7/4/1971. *these were the FINAL concerts at the venue held under the BGP banner)

Shows listed include: Cold Blood appearing with Boz Scaggs, the Flamin' Groovies and Stoneground (6/30), It's A Beautiful Day with the Elvin Bishop Group, Grootna and Lamb (7/1), the Grateful Dead with the New Riders of the Purple Sage and the Rowan Brothers (7/2), Quicksilver Messenger Service with Hot Tuna (Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane) and Yogi Phlegm (Sons of Champlin) (7/3) and Creedence Clearwater Revival with Santana and Tower of Power (7/4).

Art by David Singer, image is # 287 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series. This is the last Fillmore poster in the original series.

Medium glossy coated index stock poster is in decent (B/B-) condition; there are a series of "mouse bite" nips scattered along the top/upper left/right margins, along with a 4-5" diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a few stray soft handling creases/fingerprint smudges/thin surface scratches here and there, a light amount of age spotting/"foxing", a few thin bends and tiny edge dings/chips scattered around the outer margin area and a bit of toning on the reverse, otherwise OK.

Decent-looking semi-worn 1st printing example of this oft-requested oversized Fillmore West poster featuring one of David Singer's most popular designs.
