Original 1st printing 22&5/8 x 28&1/2" concert poster for Texas psychedelic legends the 13th Floor Elevators appearing with the South Canadian Overflow (Saturday), the Swiss Movement (Friday) and Shiva's Headband (Sunday) at the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, TX from 12/8-10/1967. 

 Art by Gilbert Shelton, image ("Brains & Guts") is # 7 in the VG/Vulcan Gas Company series. and is featured in the Art of Rock on page 294 (plate 3.124)

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is archival mounting tape going all around the outer margin area on the reverse side, which results in a slight "matte burn" that shows through to the front of the poster (it's very subtle), along with a couple of VERY tiny corner-tip pressure creases, a few ultra-tiny edge bends along the left/right margins and a whisper of handling wear, otherwise it is an absolutely SUPERB-looking example of this always-in-demand Vulcan Gas image by the legendary Gilbert Shelton.
