Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" double-sided concert/event flyer for "Angry Arts Week", a series of concerts, events, anti-war protests and happenings held at various venues across San Francisco, CA in April of 1967.
The front features an advertisement for a show held at Longshoreman's Hall on 4/9/67, featuring Sopwith Camel, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin), Country Joe & the Fish and the Grateful Dead (listed along the left margin).
The reverse features the week's schedule of events, beginning with a "Surprise Rally" at California Hall on 4/7 and concluded with the 4/15 Spring Mobilization March & Rally at Kezar Stadium with Country Joe & the Fish, Judy Collins, Coretta Scott King and more.
Artist unknown, this is the first-state version of the flyer- another version was distributed later with several additional passes of color ink and the Grateful Dead featured more prominently.
Thin flat stock flyer is in excellent (B+) condition; other than a fairly light amount of handling/edge creasing and a couple of nearly-invisible diagonal bends in the lower left/right corners, it is a VERY sharp example of this ULTRA-uncommon early-'67 San Francisco event flyer with a great design and an unbelievable lineup.
