Description
Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for the Charlatans appearing with the Orkustra and Lynne Hughes at Sokol Hall in San Francisco, CA on 3/5/1967. (*this show is often listed as a 1966 event, but it is referenced in Charles Perry's "Haight-Ashbury- A History" as occurring in 1967.)
Art by Alton Kelley with a photo by Herb Greene, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 68.
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are three thin hairline diagonal bends in the lower left corner (each about 2-3"), along with a small soft stain in the top center margin, a light amount of surface scuffing in the lower left border/margin, a few stray handling/edge dings and a stray pin-prick spot or two lurking within the image area, otherwise fine.
Very presentable gently-worn example of this always-popular Kelley image from the AOR book.
